When syncing an Outlook contact
folder, the Outlook AddressBook may not display correctly as per
the selected settings (First Last or FileAs) after the sync
process. This issue affects the contacts that have been updated
via the Sync process and is not unique to a specific sync program
(Outlook has absolutely no involvement in any sync process
This issue does not occur when using either the CG Toolkit
<FullName> or <FileAs> standardization function (as of version
1.4.1) regardless of the standardized field format selected (i.e.
the FullName field can be set to any of the pre-defined formats
but the AddressBook will still correctly show First Last Name if
that was selected option).
However, to correct the problem
resulting from the sync (or some other non Outlook import)
process, each contact affected must be "re-updated" on an item by
item basis as this is not a universal AddressBook issue.
Therefore, simply running either the <FullName> or <FileAs>
standardization function in <eval> mode will not resolve all the
affected contacts (only those contact items included in the <eval>
update group will be corrected - 10 items). A fully registered
copy of CG Toolkit is required for <ALL> contacts to be corrected.
The standardization function would also have to be run after every
sync to correct the affected contact items so that those are
displayed corrected in the AddressBook view.
