  ContactGenie DataPorter 2.0 Editions

Key differences between the editions are highlighted in yellow

 Professional Edition

Provides all available DataPorter features. Primarily intended for organizations who need to import from MS SQL databases and/or need to distribute import datasets easily for processing by other applications which support CSV, XML,  or remote DataPorter clients either on the network or externally.

The Professional Edition enables automated distribution of complete datasets including mapping information and new contact data to a pre-defined email list. Optionally, "processing confirmations" can be automatically returned once a distributed dataset has been processed (using the Corp Remote client) with or without processing logs.

An unlimited number of import templates are supported and XML data files generated can optionally generate either "element-centric" or "attribute-centric" output datasets. (element-centric XML is required by MS Office applications supporting the XML import file format). Alternatively, files can also be created in CSV format and can include any user-defined fields in an Outlook contact folder if used as an input data source.

 Personal Edition

Provides all Professional Edition features without

  1. MS SQL support

  2. Integrated "Mapping/Data" output file generation capability (CGP file)

  3. Auto-distribution of output files (CGP, XML, or CSV)

Ideally suited for professionals receiving new contact data on a regular basis who may also need to update multiple "personal use" systems (i.e. office, laptop, home). Also for organizations needing to create datasets from a single source for importing by multiple users on a network.

It can also be used to generate CSV or XML datasets (either "element-centric" or "attribute-centric") of selected data from a user's Outlook folder which can be returned to a central location for processing (element centric XML is required by MS Office applications supporting the XML import file format).
