ContactGenie DataPort <CDP> is a <contact> import/export utility for use with Outlook '2000-'2010 providing full support for custom forms/fields in PST, Exchange Mailbox or Exchange public folders with ability to <update> pre-existing contacts. Import/export criteria can be saved for repetitive use via unattended command line operation using Windows Task Scheduler or any 3rd party scheduler.

 

CDP is available in two versions, Standard (formerly DataPorter 2.0 Personal Ed) and Advanced (formerly DataPorter 2.0 Pro Ed).

 

Common Features:

 

Multiple import processing options
   - Add only - all input contacts will be added - no duplication check
        (optionally empty contact folder prior to importing)
   - Delete Only - delete matching contacts from folder
   - Update - update pre-existing contacts from input data file
Multiple <update> processing options
   - <Add New Only > - only process contacts that do not exist
   - <Add If New> - add or ignore input contacts that do not already exist when updating
   - <Update Only> - only process contacts that already exist
User-selectable update <keys> using one or more standard/custom (user-defined) fields
Support for custom forms/custom fields
Dynamically create user-defined fields at import time (not applicable if using a custom form>
Import/export to/from PST and Exchange based contact folders
Standardize <CompanyName>, <FileAs>, <EmailDisplayName> and <FullName> fields on both import and export
Append or replace <Notes> with or without time stamp
Append or replace keyword field values
Optionally ignore empty input data fields for updates
Assign custom field names when exporting
Set User-defined export field sequence via simple drag 'n drop
Save import/export criteria (templates) for repeated use
Command line functionality
Runs independently of Outlook allowing use of any Outlook profile whether or not Outlook is running
Does not require Outlook to be installed (Exchange MAPI components must be installed if Outlook is not installed)
View Outlook fields in any of 9 languages

 

Standard versus Advanced editions

 

The Advanced edition adds the following major functionality to the common features listed above:

 

Support for Outlook/Exchange contact folders as an input data source
Native support for MS SQL (including TCP/IP connections)
Email notification of command line template completion
