Activation/DeActivation
Once a product is registered, it will also need to be "activated" which can be done online for immediate activation or manually by sending the appropriate information.
ContactGenie in general allow a single license to be used and activated on TWO (2) computers used by the same person (i.e. Home, office). Inevitably, there will be situations where system problems have occurred making it impossible to first "de-activate" the program on a particular machine. In those situations, you simply need notify ContactGenie support (support@contactgenie.com) and the activation tracking system will be adjusted accordingly.
Once the product has been registered, the <Activate> menu option will become visible and active:

Each ContactGenie product has a preset number of days allowed, generally 10 days, by which it MUST be activated after which point it will cease to function except for asking you to activate the product. The process is completed vai the following screen:

The product can be immediately activated online which requires an active internet connection and the program is not blocked from connecting to our servers to validate the request.
Activate Online
No personally identifiable information is used to validate the activation request. Once validated, the program is immediately validated.
Activating Manually - Step 1
The manual activation process becomes available only after the "online activation" process has failed and the <Send Info> info becomes activated. If for any reason, you cannot activate online AND are unable to send the request via the <Send Info> button, you can forward the request manually to "activationrequest@contactgenie.com" providing the information shown on screen.
If for any reason the automated activation process fails, the program can be activated manually be sending a request via email to "activationrequest@contactgenie.com". This can be done by clicking on the Send Auto Request button which will immediately send an email with all required information or may do so yourself providing all information show under "Required Information To Obtain Activation Key". All information must be included exactly as shown or it will only delay the request.
Once the above information is received, a manual "activation key" will be forwarded which will perform the final validation step.
Activating Manually - Step 2
When the manual activation key has been received, it must be entered in the appropriate field and verified. If the verification is successful, the program will become immediately activated. The manual activation key will only work for the codes sent to us originally. If for any reason, the program is de-activated, a new manual activation key must be obtained.
Activation Lifespan
The product will remain "activated" for the specific license key even if the program is un-installed. In cases where the a complete reformat is required due to a system crash etc., the allowable license count will not be affected if a new activation request is made using the exact same information used originally (which includes the hardware ID).
De-activating the registered license key
In cases where systems are being replaced, you can retain your allowable license count by first de-activating the product on the original system before installing it on the new computer (all activation/de-activation requests are recorded and monitored for unusual activity which may result in the license becoming "suspended").
Once a product has become activated, the "Activation" menu option is replaced with a "De-activation" option.
The following screen is used for the de-activation process.

The program can be immediately de-activated online which will result in the total allowable installation count being appropriately adjusted. The manual de-activation process does not become enabled until the online process has encountered a failure.
If you cannot activate online, a manual deactivation request can be sent via the "De-Activate & Send Info" button which will become enabled. This will result in the required information be forwarded so that the allowable installation count is adjusted "offline". Once a message has been successfully sent, the program is immediately de-activated.
The "De-activation" code is an internal code used to validate that the request has been processed by the program. Once this code is verified, your allowable installation count will be appropriately adjusted.
If for any reason you cannot de-activate online AND you are unable to forward the appropriate information, you will need to contact ContactGenie Support for special instructions regarding the Deactivation code and processing of the request.
