Output Processing Options

There are 3 export options available depending on the file format selected and version of CGX installed:

FileUpdOpts

ALL FILES

If no corresponding file name or table/Worksheet (Named Range) name is found, the default is to <Create> the required file. All text files are always re-created with any existing file found with the same name deleted prior to export (subject to user acceptance). In command line mode, deletion of existing files is automatic.

Only MS Excel (XLS) files can be updated in the CGX Adv version.

Excel XLS worksheet

If either the XLS file or a <named range> within that file is not found, the default will be to Create/Replace New. If a <Named Range> is found, the default will be UPDATE.

Access (AXS)

If an existing table name is found in the selected MDB file, CGX Advanced will default to APPEND mode and CGX Premium will default to UPDATE mode.

MS SQL

Automatically defaults to UPDATE mode if a pre-existing table is found in the selected SQL server/database.

When selecting a MS SQL '2005 database for updating purposes, the <Ad Hoc Remote Queries> setting MUST be enabled by the SQL admin otherwise the export will not proceed.

SQLAdHocQueries

No changes can be made to the output file or table name fields once any fields have been selected which will cause these options to be disabled.
