Any unassigned input data file field can be used to create a new user-defined field. If the same field name and field type is to be used, then it only needs to be selected via the <Slct> checkbox.
Functional Overview
Once all selections are completed, a message will appear asking if you wish the fields to be permanently added to the <User-defined fields in folder> group. If the response is yes, the fields will be permanently added using the <New UDF Name> and <New UDF Type> fields in the list. This process is not reversible within CQP. If, for any reason, a mistake is made and you do not want the field in the Outlook UDF folder list, the fields must be deleted manually via Outlook.
The purpose of this approach is to ensure that the fields actually exists for field mapping purposes.

#1 - Selecting fields to Assign
Checking the <Slct> box will add this field will populate the <New UDF Name> and <New UDF Type> columns with current field name and type (or correspondingly clear those columns if the <Slct> becomes unchecked)
#2 - Set User-defined field name
If the field name in the input data file is not the field name you wish to use as the Outllook user-defined field name, a new name can be entered in the appropriate column. This name will be checked immediately to determine if it duplicates any existing Outlook field name. If it does, the new name will not be allowed.
#3 - Set user-defined field type
Like the name field, if the existing data field type in the input data file is not the one to be assigned to the Outlook user-defined field type, a different field type can be selected. If there is a difference between the input data file field type and the newly selected field type, the set will be evaluated to ensure that this is a valid combination (i.e. importing a Date field into a YesNo field would not be allowed).
Applying changes
Once all fields are selected the changes must be applied to take effect. The message below will be presented for one last verification to ensure that you want to proceed with the permanent changes that will occur as described in the overview.
