The Duplicate Contact comparison allows a side by side comparison of duplicate contacts against the <Primary Contact>

Merging Field Data

 

Differences in field data between a duplicate contact item and the primary contact is highlighted in red. To replace the information for a given field in the primary contact item, click on the selected field, hold the left mouse down and drag the field information to the corresponding field in the primary contact. Editing of individual fields is done via the Outlook interface.

 

 

1.Primary Contact Values
 - shows the current field values for the contact item designated as the Primary Contact based on
   the selected Dupe Action options
 
2.Duplicate Contact Value
 - shows the corresponding field values for the duplicate item. Differences in values between it and
   the <primary contact> are highlighted in red
 
3.Duplicate Set move <forward/backward> arrows
 - arrows enable cycling through all the duplicate contact items in a given set. These arrows do not
   appear if comparison selection was for a single contact item only
 
4.Show Prime Contact via Outlook interface
 - this will show the contact item using the Outlook contact item interface. Changes to any field
   can also be completed within this view
 
5.Refresh Prime Contact from Outlook
 - If any fields were changed in item #4 - the contact item needs to be updated to reflect all
   changes. Any fields that were changed via "drag and drop" will be lost if those changes were
   not first updated via item #6
 
6.Update Prime Contact
 - This will update the actual Outlook contact item immediately with any changes resulting from
   <drag 'n drop> updates
 
7.Show Duplicate Contact via Outlook interface
 - This will show the selected duplicate contact item via the Outlook contact item interface.
   Changes can be made to the duplicate item but unless the "keep" status for this item is
   changed, those changes will be lost if the duplicate is set to be deleted
